White Wire 2008
White Wire is made predominantly from Chardonnay harvested from both Hawkes Bay and Gisborne, two of New Zealand's premium Chardonnay growing regions. The vineyards were selected for their quality of fruit, which consistantly achieve optimal ripeness. In addition, selections of aromatic varietals are blended with Chardonnay to enhance the aroma and palate of the wine. The aromatic blend is vintage dependant and may include Gewurztraminer, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Riesling, creating a unique drinking experience each successive vintage.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of white nectarine grace the nose of this inviting and approachable wine. Hints of grapefruit and citrus blossom linger on the bouquet with flavours of tangerine and white peach on the palate.
Great on its own and fantastic to enjoy with friends and great conversation, this wine will match beautifully with fresh seafood. Try our favourite combination of a chilled glass of White Wire with prawns straight off the grill. Delicious!
Winemaking Notes
White Wire is made in an 'un-oaked' style, which creates the crisp, clean flavours that make this wine so refreshing and easy-drinking.
