White Wire Hawkes Bay 2007
The innovative ZORK® closure was selected to complement the White Wire experience… unwinding the ZORK® top results in something akin to a ‘white (well, silver) wire’. Be sure to push it all the way back in when using to re-close the bottle!
Tasting Notes
A delightful white wine with hints of ripe melon and stone fruits, great texture and an ever-so-smooth mouth feel. Chill your wine glass, unwind the top and enjoy!
Great on its own; better with friends and your favorite foods. We love it with grilled chicken, fresh pasta or grilled prawns straight off the grill.
Winemaking Notes
White Wire is made primarily from Chardonnay grapes harvested at three different Hawkes Bay vineyards. The different parcels of fruit were fermented separately without the use of oak and blended to make a wine with fresh acidity and great fruit expression. Aromatic varietals (Gewürtztraminer, Riesling and Pinot Gris) were blended with the Chardonnnay to accentuate the lifted fruit aromas and give the wine more summer appeal.
